Witchcraft as personal development

Witchcraft as personal development: Learning, striving, contemplating, analyzing, changing, evolving. When I craft a spell, I am crafting my intentions for how I want to change—how I want to view or interact with the world. When I read tarot cards, I am meditating on archetypal symbols and how they may bring up emotions or thoughts or fears inside, and I am learning how to “read” myself.
.
Sometimes, I read the cards in a way that casts a situation in a more positive light than I should, because I’m afraid. I’m afraid of myself, of other people, of situations.
.
Sometimes, I make choices that make a bad situation worse.
.
Sometimes, fear paralyzes me.
.
Witchcraft isn’t about power over others. It’s about a power within myself, for myself, by myself.
.
And today, I accept my power. I forgive myself for past mistakes, and I claim my internal power to stay safe. To use my voice. To exist. To move forward and trust myself.
.
Fight, flight, or flee in the face of fear? Today, I stand strong and supple and sinuous, ready for whatever may come my way.
